Lookout Mountain Residence

2011 - 2013 — 3180SF — Gigante AG

A complete interior / exterior renovation of a 1950s era single-family home in the Hollywood hills.

This project began as a simple interior renovation, with the main goals being to open the floorplan, create a greater connection to exterior spaces and allow more flexibility for private events. Project goals expanded during construction, leading to a finished product with extensive customization and a high level of fit and finish.

Administration of the project included the design, fabrication and sourcing of countless custom finishes and fixtures. Notable examples include a stair railing made of bare steel, rope and reclaimed oak, as well as a vanity made of a single CNC-routed block of Calcutta marble.

Personal contributions to the project consisted primarily of 3D renderings, 2D details, mock-ups and sourcing of products / materials.
