Experience

Hamilton Architects — Associate (Designer / Job Captain) — 1.2014 - current
I am currently employed as a designer / job captain for a small studio in West LA, focusing on custom single family homes and small commercial projects.

Swift Lee Office — Project Designer — 9.2013 - 12.2013
A 3.5 month trial period as a project designer, working on academic, commercial and residential projects throughout California. This included work on DSA submittal sets for two charter schools, client / community renderings, development of schematic options and materials / supplier research. I was also involved with the drafting and detailing of numerous CASp projects. By the end of the trial period I saw it was not a good fit, and decided to move on.

Gigante AG — Junior Designer — 6.2011 - 9.2013
After graduation, I worked as a junior designer at a professor’s architecture / fabrication studio. For over two years I was responsible for deliverables on a majority of the residential and commercial projects within the office. This included schematic design, plan check / construction sets (primarily in Revit), 3D renderings (Vray and Revit), physical mock-ups and on-site fabrications.

USC Architecture Woodshop — Student Assistant — 9.2010 - 5.2011
Guided architecture and Fine Arts students with the functions of shop tools and with wood / metal-working techniques.

USC CAD Services — Revit Modeler — 5.2010 - 9.2010
Assisted with the department’s transition to Revit software by creating as-built models of campus buildings, and by updating procedures / standards for future workers.

Lowernine.org / Habitat for Humanity — Volunteer — 2.2009 - 4.2009
Volunteered with rebuilding organizations in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, renovating flooded homes and selling recycled building materials. Developed my initial interest in carpentry and hands-on construction.

Wagstaff Architects — Draftsman Intern — 5.2008 - 8.2008
Developed presentation graphics for a pre-fabricated housing project in Trinidad, including general 2D drawings, assembly details and interior isometrics. Also updated plans, schedules and interior elevations for custom single-family residential projects.
